4 potato boiled, 3 green chillies, 1/2spoon chilli powder,5 twigs coriander leaves,salt to taste,dried bread powder,pinch of asfotida,oil to fry. Method--Peal the potato and mash well.Add green chillies c.leaves,red chilly powder,salt, asfotida to it and mash well.Take few and shape them into small round tikkies and flatten them a bit.Mix with dried bread powder on both sides.Now heat the tawa and fry the tikkies in oil on both sides till golden.Drain on to an absorbent paper.Aloo ka tikki is ready to serve.

Please take pictures too. Aloo ki tikki looks yum in words, but we need to enjoy it in pictures as well.
(The last time I remember eating aloo ki tikkis is in Sarojini Nagar shopping area, in Delhi, long time back).

Yes, Aaloo ki tikki is potato cutlets, served with additional accompaniments like chole, sour-sauces and cut slices of onion. It is a snack item, and the main part is the potato cutlet. And, in my opinion, the ones served in a dhaba or in street-stalls in India give you the authentic taste. The ones that I have had in the state that I live in, are hopeless. Let me know if you get good ones in your state.
