Kolam for beginners
Traditional kolam designs suitable for beginners. The steps to making these kolams are pretty self explanatory. Start with the dots (if any) and then followed by the lines. Once done, optionally, the enclosed areas of the kolam may be filled with color rangoli powder.

We visited our uncle's farm house for this year pongal holidays. Thoroughly enjoyed the village customs and the festival. I drew this kolam in front of the cow-shed on the day of "Mattu Pongal"
