Kolam for beginners
Traditional kolam designs suitable for beginners. The steps to making these kolams are pretty self explanatory. Start with the dots (if any) and then followed by the lines. Once done, optionally, the enclosed areas of the kolam may be filled with color rangoli powder.

This is (9*5) dotted kolam.. no dots for the buds at the outter layer, its just free hand drawing.....
This is free hand style kolam ... we picked this design from my silk saree.. my daughter drawn this and i did the colouring work...
:) my first upload in ikolam. I tried small freehand rangolis inspired by all your kolams, your valuable comments please.
