This is a free hand drawing kolam.. I drew For New year 2011. Its very easy and simple. I used White powder with merun rock sand.

Just for the record, the sOnA pattern with (11 rows and 20 columns) with inscribed 2011. It is this basic pattern that was used to create the new year greeting. Some people felt this is better than the other, each to one's taste, is it not?
