Rangoli: morning raaga

When my grand daughter visited me she insisted on putting rangoli daily.This design I drew and gave the color powders to her for filling.After sometime I came to see her work and wondered how the child had imagined the flowers to be in green and the leaves in yellow. A rare sight no?

Rangoli: Belated wishes

Somewhere I saw the lotus and swans and drew this rangoli long back before x'mas but due to lack of space could upload it only today.
Became very busy after the new year due to travel, marriage and health problems..... Belated Happy New Year, Pongal and Republic Day wishes.! Sorry for not passing my appreciations on the newly uploaded wonderful kolams from all of you.

Rangoli: morning raagaa

This is a dotted kolam. Dot count is 7-4 in between dots.
I drew this design and asked my granddaughter Sahana ( 10 yr old, who is very much interested in kolams) to color it.With my guidence and help from my maid she completed the filling. This is our first Margazhi kolam. Beware! lot more to follow.

This is a simple dotted kolam. Dot count 9-5 in between dots.
Since on sunday guests were coming I put this in a hurry and my grand daughter helped me in coloring it.

This is a dotted rangoli ( 9-1 , inbetween dots ). colour rangoli podi used for decoration.
I like to draw simple kolams which others will be tempted to put on daily basis.

Rangoli: Morning Raagaa

Made this simple kolam with white kola powder and colored with blue color powder and took the photo immediately. with in half an hour the kolam had extra drawings/ smashed by neighbour' daughters
(4 year old twins... their explanation is" we wanted to decorate it more!"

I do not know what these flowers are. In Deepaavali mood I drew this , colored and took the poto in Diya's light only.
