After sending 2 contest entries, with dotted designs, I did not get sleep in the night, just drew this design and colored. In the morning just added yellow and pink back ground just by sprinkling the colors in the gap. Though not come out perfect, I just thought of sharing it.

Very rarely I use my terrece for kolam, though spacious ,wind does not allow me to put podikkolam. Due to the slop it is little difficult to put wet maavu kolam also. But today I tried this kolam and colored it with green and orange to suit Republic day.
wet rise maavu with food liguid colours are used .
It is a dotted kolam with dot count 9-5 inbetween dots.
This is a mixture of chikku kolam design with outer freehand extension and also used both wet maavu and color kolampowder. Hence it is 2 in 1
I wish you all thru this kolam A Healthy, Prosperous, Happy and colourful New Year.
Normally I use only 2 or 3 colors only for a kolam, Here for a change I used all possible colours I had. Take whatever you want.
This is a simple dotted kolam copied from a Tamil magazine. I decorated this with colorfillings and lines.Since the dots looked like Pottu, I am naming it Bindhi kolam.!
After a gap of 2 months, I tried to draw a simple maakkolam to welcome Margazhi. My grand daughter Sahana ( who had come to B'lore for holidays) helped me in coloring this. I could not strain so much and outof touch,
so made this simple one to join with you all in celebrating this KOLAM MONTH.
Recent Sowmya's maakkolam tempted me to copy it. This I put it on the Navrathri Friday for pooja at my home .All my friends who came for the pooja admired it. credit goes to Sowmya
Today We did small pooja at home calling all my friends, did chanting of Lalitha Sahasranamam.Could not keep Golu this year. This Sowmya's recent Maakkolam, which I liked so much, came handy for me to try for the pooja.
