I was alone at home. No mood to see TV, or read book. To overcome my depressed mood I thought of making some kolam in the terrece. From night 10'o clock to eleven I spent my time drawing this. I felt relaxed after finishing this.I could not extend it further since the wet maavu stock was over then.
I wrote that I'll upload kolams only after margazhi dew drop contest kolams are released.So just to keep up my word I drew this maakkolam in a hurry. I could not get Rani's blood red Kaavi. But the petals of Pooja rose flowers came handy to decorate this kolam.
This is a copycat kolam, lifted from the gallery of one of the ikolam member. can you guess whose creation has inspired me? The secret of WHY I copied this kolam from the gallery, I'll let you know later once you finish guessing!
On the Pournami( full moon day) last week , our ladies group wanted to chaant " Soundharya Lahari " and the venue was decided as my home. So in a hurry I have to put a small rangoli in front of the Goddess picture. This as an on the spot freehand design drawn with wet maavu and colored sparingly with colorpodi. Since all enjoyed this small rangoli, I wanted to share it with u all.
I had little time and little left over wet maavu, so on this friday morning put this fatta-fut kolam and sprinked the color powder at random way. Hope you like it.

During this month i.e Thai, so many weddings take place.we put this type of Kanya kolams in the wedding platform.This is one of the basic designs I have created.you can draw with your own imagination, the outer extensions, only thing is in the centre there should be a square design. After a long time I thought of humming my morning raaga. It is a simple chikku kolam done with wet maavu and coloured with used color podi.
