2018- Kanda Sashti-Kanda sashti festival is celebrated as a six day Vrath(upvaas) Prayer and Pooja for Lord Muruga/Karthik/Subramanya- as He killed demon Surapadhman in a six day battle... 13 th Nov is Kanda Sashti.....Lord Muruga has two consorts... VaLLi and Devasena...i have tried to replicate a necklace worn by the Lord in PaLani(one of His important six abodes).. And a diamond emerald pearl necklace for His consort....
The Tamil writing says- "Kanda Sashti- 2018"....

அந்த மரகதக் கல் ஆபரணம்,மலையான் மகள், மான்மகளாம் மருமகளுக்கு சூட்டி அழகு பார்த்ததோ!
Meaning...Lord Muruga, the son of the Lord who burnt the three cities (Shiva) adds beauty to the ornammets He wears and His mom (Himavan's daughter) must have gifted His bride -VaLLi(Her Daughter in law the pearl-diamond-emerald necklace.....
