This was done for my brothers weeding.In our coustom we(sister in laws) Keep gifts for our new manni(brothers wife)during the marriage. whch includes things which are useful for her like cosmetics,dresses, sarees, accessories etc.The list also includes dolls.I and my sister took up a theme "marriage" and did a small set for fun. this setup is called velayadal.we missed the ammi part in the marriage as we dint get a small ammi.

I was wondering why a pair of slippers also take place in the 'velayadal' things! To represent 'kasi yathra'?

No jaya maam. we keep all things that are use ful for the bride including slippers hand bags, cosmetics dressess. i will upload another photo with all the items.
