Vegetable Pulav
This is easy for people who get frozen mixed vegetables.
sliced onion -1
Green chilli - 3
ginger garlic paste - 2 Tsp
Mixed frozen vegetables (carrot, peas, corns (must) + beans, cauliflower, capsicum (optional)) - 1 cup
Rice - 1 cup (Indiagate classic is very good)
Ghee - 2 tsp
Oil - 1 Tsp
Spices - Cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves
Garnish
Curry leaves
corriander leaves
Mint leaves
Process :
Heat oil and ghee in cooker, fry the spices, green chilli, then oinion and ginger garlic paste, then frozen vegetables,
fry till oil separates, then add the rice, fry for some time. add all the leaves , add 2 cups of water.
put the whistle . Keep in sim for 20 minutes then off (one whistle ll come).
Tips - *If you use a hot plate below the cooker, the cooked rice ll be separate and no sticky rice and no waste at the bottom. I keep cooker above the stainless steel roti maker plate on the gas, works perfect.
* I cover the cook top with aluminium foil with cutting circles for gas burners. It is easy to clean. Whenever the foil is dirty(oil strain, food spills) , i ll throw it and use new one. It saves you lot of time especially in white color cook tops.
