Just wanted to share with i-Kolam viewers.Sure would be of use to them(not only for flat residents but also for villa owners)
Always know your nearest escape stair case plus one alternative stair case in your floor.It is better to close your eyes and count steps till the stair case,because in smoke you will be unable to see.
Never use an elevator in case of fire.
In case of smoke,use a wet towel and place on to the nose or mouth.
Always keep low as possible while evacuating,because SMOKE tends t go up.
It is highly advised to have an EMERGENCY GRAB BAG ready in your house,it may consists -your and families important documents and some cash.
Train every member of your family to GRAB the emergency BAG before evacuating.
ALWAYS KEEP CALM and QUITE while dealing with EMERGENCY.
Always remember to help yourself first before helping anyone,because if you are not safe,you cannot make anyone safe.
It is highly advised to participate in your building's EVACUATION DRILLS if it happens.
