Here are a few pictures of a rubber plantation in Nagercoil. About 4 or 5 rubber sheets are made from the sap collected from one such plantation, per day. The sheets are then sent to a manufacturing plant as raw materials. This was a good field trip for kids who only get to read about such things in books.

seeing the last one I thought some dosas or parottas are being made by machines! Saappattu raami!
