Sri Ramanavami or Sri Ramajayanthi,the birthday of Lord Sriram.Sri Ramanavami is a great event in three sree Ram temples in India.Ayodhya SriRam temple in UP.Badrachalam Sri Sita Ramachandra swami temple in AP and Rameswaram temple in tamilnadu.Sitarama kalyanam in Badrachalam attracts a large no of devotees.In north side navami festival is celebrated as Ramlila.In south this festival is celebrated not only in temples in a grand way but also it is celebrated in every house.We should clean our house and put the kolam in front of Rama pattabhishekam photo.We should decorate with various flowers and perform archanai for Sri Ramar.Also chant slokas. Wherever the great Rama name is expressed Hanuman will enjoy that nama and also with Sri Rama and bless us with the grace.Not even on this day,even daily we should atleast say Rama japa for 108 times or write 108 times in one copy.During this day we should dedicate vadai payasam,panakam buttermilk along with this the great Ramanama japam.
Akila loka rakshaka sree Rama, Anandha sakara jay jay Rama, saranagatha vathsala sai Rama,saranam saranam saranam sree Sita Rama.

Thank you for the wishes Shoba. I've never visited the first two temples that you've mentioned here. Good to keep these names in mind. May get a chance in the future. Smile
