I have a very big/small doubt. I don't not whether to discuss this topic here. But still want to clear my doubt. As we all know that the kolam/rangoli's published in this site can't be copies without written permission. But the photos posted by each of us as profile picture can be copied by other users also. Not only the users but also by guest who are unknown to us. Can’t it be also protected like our kolams? If anything wrong in asking this type of question, please forgive me.

Niths, Good question too, I also did not notice these days, I think Lata, can do it !!!!. Nothing is impossible to her. This is just a small maintainance work. Most probably she also might not have noticed. Lata, Is it possible to protect our profile picture?????????

hai nithi,, even i wanted to talk abt this ,,, only after uploading family fotos i realized that d cafe and profile pics can be copied,,, we would be secured if those pages are also protected,,, lets wait for latas answer,,,,

good question nithya.That's the reason I don't want to share any photos , though I am not a little girl, I don't want to share , my family photos to any unknown persons.

I'm glad you asked, Nithya. Nothing wrong in asking such questions here, as a cafe post/topic.
The option of including profile pictures of individual accounts got introduced much later in the site. I am not sure about the exact timings, but it got included maybe two years ago or so, as a separate add-on to the existing site. The main goal was to fight plagiarism of rangolis, and so we had taken the extra step to protect the creations of everyone. Profile pictures are optional and not required.
Speaking about protection, Nithya, have you had a chance to read this post yet? We might be getting rid of the protection feature for the kolams/rangolis in the future.
