Hi everybody,
Time flies so quickly when we're busy with many things in our lives. I didn't realize how September flew past us so quickly, and, October has already arrived! I hope all of you are looking forward to the next big festival - Navratri.
How are the preparations going on for Navratri in your households? If you have started shopping for some new Golu dolls, and other accessories for the festivities, please do share your thoughts and experiences here with all of us.

I like your theory, Jaya ma'am.
Actually, the i is very much present in ikolam's byline - "interactive". So I guess, the ego is still not shed.

Yes, the i goes missing very often, by design.

We would like Ikolam's url showing up in the first page when anyone searches for "kolam". So far, our site has continually shown up in the first page. The images are another story. We'll be doing everything we can to make sure the images too show up in the first couple of pages.

Yes ...The navarathri preparations have started and slowly it is gaining momentum...Have to visit some shops for golu shopping as my friends informed me about the new arrivals..like saptha kanniyar, mahabalipuram set, chithirai thiruvizha etc..
.mine will be very traditional with some new dolls this year ...no theme golus as this is my 2nd year.
..Hope to improve in the years to come. I am also looking forward to all the golu photos in our ikolam along with the marapachi dolls..
My set of kolams and decorations will be there as always.

It is always interesting to read about life from the streets of Chennai, during the festival preparations. I too would like to have my own Aiswarya Eswaran.
( Wish I could be in Chennai :tired: )

Myself, Viji and Bala went around this place on the previous evening for a window shopping! I never miss an oppertunity to go around Mylapore Kapali temple! The dolls were too costly to our budget!
