My Garden seedlings
Hi all
Individual pics of my seedlings. Have to do some collage as my individual pics pixels are also large. Hope it is clear.
Pic 1 - Radish, Noolkool seedlings, Mint leaves in a pot, Broad beans (Avaraikai) germinating.
Pic 2 - Beetroot, cucumber, African Daisy (flower), broad beans (top to bottom)
other type beans, gongura, methi
Pic 3 - Methi.. It is better to sow lot of methi seeds. pic 4 - corriander
It is good to sow the seeds directly on the ground for the plants - cucumber, carrot, broad beans, chennai kizhangu(suran), corriander.
But I prefer seedlings.
All other plants, sow seeds in the seedling tray or small cups. sprinkle water, once the seedling gets second set of leaves, it is good to plant on the ground. Too much of rain/ water / sunlight is not good for seedlings. keep them in part shade part sunny place.
Mint, Methi, Corriander leaves are great for pots (people with small place), but sunlight is essential.
Corriander seeds from the Kitchen didnt work for me.I got the plants but no big leaves, lot of flowers, so not useful for cooking. I prefer seeds from the shop/ebay.
Mint - seedlings from the shop. Dont keep Mint in ground, it spreads like anything, it ll spoil ur garden.
Methi - Seeds from kitchen (Vendiyam works perfect). Sowing is very important. Sprinkle the seeds above 20 cm depth of soil in a longer try like pot is good(check pic), sprinkle some soil above it. Dont sow the seed in deep, it ll hard for them to germinate.
Thanks
Arthy
Rest is in the Next
