Hi, after seeing other members submitting their family picture, I thought I will also submit one. This photo was taken 1 and half year back, when my son was 4 months old. Now he is nearing 2 years.

Woooooooow excited to meet ur family dear .lovely baby and ur hero is also very handsome dear .he looks like one of the actor of CID TV serial .If u started loosing ur hair after the delivery then definitely u should continue to take iron rich diet as well as calcium rich diet along with the protein dear .Lots and lots of love and prayers t ur lovely son .Buy the way what is his good name

Hi All, Thanks for your comments. My Husband's name is - Ramkumar & that of my son - Amit. Actually my husband wanted to name him like Amit R Kumar (like Pammal K Sambandam), but unfortunately here in the municipality office, they said in birth certificate, surnames has to be fully expanded. So in all his records it will be Amit Ramkumar.

THanks Sowmya. Yes you are right. He is very naughty and day by day that's going on increasing. During weekends, when I'm in home, day and night, I'll be very busy with him. He keeps me fully occupied.

Yes JKM sir, U and Vasanthi are right. Amit is another name of Lord Ganesha (our family God / Kula Deivam). Moreover we wanted a short name for him and at the same time should be modern . So he was named as Amit. In Arabic, there is a name as AMIT which means victory.

I'm recollecting the memories of my expecting days, how many names we downloaded from Internet (almost 10,000 names in the list) and then shortlisted 5. Finally selected Amit so that it is our kula deivam name and will be among the first few names in school attendance (hah ha ha)

Amit looks so cute and adorable. Nice family picture, Mahalakshmi. You must've been super excited in the name selection process. This is the first time I'm hearing about a mom downloading so many names. Picky...picky! :0
But it's quite interesting to note that certain popular names like Amit that had been around for a few years never lose their charm no matter how many years go by. And you know what...all Amits turn out intelligent, handsome and tend to possess a great sense of humor.

Amit....nice name maha....reminds me of my bengauli schoolmate amitkumar....even when i selected chandhini as my daughter's name(her name according to jaadagam is Preethi) as it was not a familiar name in our caste...till now all d relatives from tanjavour call her Shanthini...she gets annoyed saying enna ellorum ennai shanthi illaame senjiduvaanga pole...haha

Yes Lata, both me and my husband downloaded so many names. Still have those printouts. We distributed few papers among the family members for shortlisting and one fine day we all sat together and decided to name him as Amit. All these were done even before he was born, as we know that it's gonna a boy child. (normally people say we should not name a child before it's birth)

Rajam mam, Since I'm working, I'm accessing I-Kolam from office. Any uploads will be done at home but viewing and commenting will be done while I'm at office. When I'm in home at evenings and during weekends, I will not have time to access my PC. Will be busy with him.

Rani, you are right, Chandini name is not so common in South India. Nice Name. Who is Ammu then? Is chandini's nick name is Ammu?

maha when you are at office who will take care of your child dear??
because my son really missed my mother and mother-in-law's care. I left him in the creche (when he was just six months old you know) and went to office with restless mind...but I felt really at that time GOD is Great and when he closes one door he will definitely open another) that lady who takes care of the children in the creche...was very kind enough with all the children and she took care of my son more than my mother or mother-in-law.)

Vasanthi, you are right, when God closes one door, he will open another one. My MIL is with us in residence VISA over here. Though she can give some mental support she can't do manage with her body condition. We have appointed a full time maid here. She will stay with us day and night and Friday is holiday for her. So she will leave on Thursday night and come back on Saturday morning. I have two days off - Friday and Saturday. So I will take care of baby on these two days.

maha, my son is now 7 and half years old da...now he is studying 3rd standard..even now after school, he will go to the creche and after my office hours I will go and pick him up dear.. This is our routine...
I upload our family photo in a day or two dear..

Is he still going to the same creche from the beginning? What is his name? Is he the only child of yours?

I'm also planning to leave AMit in some baby sitting, in case if my maid denies to come along with us. We are actually staying in Sharjah but working in Dubai. In this house we have all facilities but only thing is travel from home to office. Somehow we managed to do like this for the past 3 years, but looking at my hubby getting tired of this long drive, we are planning to shift to Dubai. If my maid hesitate to come to DXB, then i have no other choice other than leaving him in some baby sitting. But my son is very closely attached to her. I should somehow convince her to come along with us.

Yes maha he is the only child and his name is SANJIV (even we did the same process as you did for selecting the name da), as per jadagam his name should start with "S" and also as per numerology we selected this name da...)
No da that lady who took care like my mother has told that she could not continue taking care of the child becuase of her age (70+)..she stopped running the baby sitting when Sanjiv is in LKG...so we have to go for another baby sitting da... (but they are very very money-minded...what to do...no other choice dear).
In your case try your best to convince your maid dear...otherwise...no other go...Just leave it to God.. You will definitely find a good baby sitting dear..I also pray for you and your family dear...

So sad Vasanthi that the baby sitter is unable to take care of the child. Eventhough u r spending too much money to this new baby sitter, does she takes a good care of your son? The money that you spend should be atleast worthy, isn't it? Hope everything will get resolved soon.

thank you maha. present baby sitter is not like my previous dear...but okay (for only 1 and half hours only da) sanjiv is anyway managing..he will come by 4:30 and be there till 6 pm (sharp 6 I will go and pick him up, not beyond 6 at any cost...even my boss is very co-operative in the timings...)
