Growing vegetables in California

In our home garden, in late spring, we grow vegetables like butternut squash, pumpkins, cucumbers, tomatoes, pole beans, eggplant, green pepper (shimla mirch), okhra and corn. Mint and Coriander is also easy to grow. Mint is a bit invasive, so I recommend you try growing mint in containers. I love to grow sunflowers in summer. Some of the other summer season flowers are Lavender, poppy, bougainvillea and all kinds of daisies (other than roses). Jasmine and Crossandra were added later on to our garden.
Here is a picture of our bounty:
Yes, my veges are very sacred to me, so I sometimes keep them in my puja flower basket

Lakshmi, I think I've posted this image too late! The veges were consumed long ago!
But, next time, I'll definitely invite beforehand.
Asha, no, 24hrs is not enough at all, and so are the 2 hands. Never enough!
Judy, usually mums are bigger, and I grow white, maroon and yellow ones. Yes, when you find your mom's mint picture, do show it to us.
