Lakshmi, we saw your hands playing magic with flowers during Chennai meet-1. Again you have set feast to our eyes with these cute colorful garlandsmade of fresh flowers. The 4th one looks a bit diff. from the others. I think we have to have one refresher course soon.

Lakshmi, Kalai arasi, whatever u do, u do it with utmost perfection. My greatgrandmother used to tie such haaras and give it to the nearby temple on a daily basis for decades together.as a service. That time, I didn't think of learning it. Somehow I hav to learn it. When r u coming next to B.lore?

Lakshmi, so pleasing to see your Thulasi with so many flower Haarams around her. She is lucky to have a Bakthai like you and you are too lucky to have the art to decorate her daily like this.We remember our grandmother who was an expert in tying flowers in chendu type. She ( an early widow,) lovedflowers and daily used to go to all the houses in the neighbourhood( all allow her freely in their garden) and pluck flowers and do a Big malai and go to the temple to put it for the main Deity there. We all admired her work but never learnt it.

I can literally smell the jasmines and roses fill the air as I look at this pic. The rose petal garland looks gorgeous - the way you have tied it makes it look so different...

nice ones lakshmiavare....tying rose petals is new...sometime back i saw in the garland shop, the florist ties those petals the reverse way so that they get double shaded garland due the white/light yellow at the bottom of the petal, may be you can add that one into this list

This flower tying is so beautiful. I know how to tie flowers but they are usually spaced out. I do not know how to tir them this close together. Is it possible that you could make a instructional tutorial about this method of tying.... pls pls pretty pls.... there is a video on youtubethat uses dindu tying method but I lose track after a while.... Please make a video tutorial or at least snap shot tutorials.....
