If I am stuck with some question, I always to turn to the kOlam group. The members are all wise and are ever ready to promptly answer it. Are there temples on vishNu where the Lord has the suffix eeSvara or eeSan tagged on, like vEMkaTESvara? I will appreciate your valuable replies. Thanks and regards! - mOhana

Thanks lakshmI ma'am! There is an anaMtESvara temple in uDupi itself, is it not? Here there seems to be a paraSurAma vigraha in a linga. They say that it is here madhvAcharya attained his eternal bliss. The other temple at manjEsvar is a combination Siva, vishNu and subrahmaNya. anaMtESvara there corresponds only to Siva. The saMgamESvara in Elayoor seems to be dedicated to bharata (rAma's brother). jagadISvra, pUrNatrayISa, dvArakAdhISa are vishNu temples. Again for the Lord of tirupati, kannaDa people more often use vEMkaTaramaNa or SrInivAsa, is it not? The name vEMkaTESvara or vEMkaTESa is more often used in the telugu and tamizh country, is it not? Again thanks for your help. Regards! - mOhana

Interesting topic. Recently I visited a temple in Maharashtra near Pune( 3 hours journey from pune). Very Very old. It is on the sea shore. It is called "Hariharaeshwar" temple. The main deities are Vishnu, Brahma and Siva all combined in one form in the horizontal posture!( If possible will upload the photo).

Interestingly the state of the erstwhile rAjas of Cochin (whose forefathers built the pUrNatrayESa temple) is depicted in a poignant manner in this article hereunder. Regards! - mOhana
