Dear Latha mam,

I have been trying to upload a few of my creations recently. I have problems in attaching even a 1mb file. is it a disk space problem? Do help me out on this.

Hi, there is no problem in uploading images in the site or in the server as of now in this season. After you browse to the file you want to upload, don't click on the "attach" button. Just scroll down and click on submit. That should take care of it.

I see that you were able to upload. Lovely creation of Him. Smile

Thank you so much Latha mam. I did try to upload a few more as per your instructions. I guess there is a problem of image being more than 2 mb. I dont know how to reduce it. guess a zip file will not be accepted.

hi aditya,
if you are using microsoftoffice picture manager, you can use edit picture and then compress option to reduce the size.
in photoshop do "save for web" and it gives four different options with different sizes, select the one with lesser kb....hope this helps

Dear Anirudh,

Following your advice, I have been able to load one of my kolams successfully. The photoshop option worked for me. Thank you so much!! Now I will try the same with my other photos waiting to be uploaded. Thanks again!!

Hi Aditya, just wanted to let you know that whatever procedure you had followed the last time to upload your painting, wasn't the best solution. The file size was too big, and it barely made it in. Please try to reduce the file size by going to the Image size menu and giving it a size that is more or less 700px or 800px in width (sometimes even lower than 700 is enough). That should do it, no matter what program you're using. You may have to further play with the numbers in order to obtain a better size.

Suguna, your comments wait in queue for moderation (for a few weeks), since you are a new member. We live in a different zone than yours (in California), and so, we publish the ones in the queue the following day. But once a few weeks go by, your comments should automatically start showing up the instant they get posted. Moderation is very important as it helps us get rid of nasty comments from some of our members and spammers. Smile
