Friends, I drew this deer rangoli on my MIL house for Sunday Margazhi...
Friends, I tried this dotted multi color chikku kolam. But the color combo doesn't work in my floor...

I love lotus. Very beautiful, sacred to our religion. They make a good subject for kolams. No matter how many kolams I draw of kolams, I again create new Kolams. Please let me know how this kolam is.
Pongal or Sankranti as we call in Andhra is basically a festival of thanksgiving to Sun and Lord Vishnu. It is an agriculture or rather harvest festival and celebrated very well in small town and villages. this festival brings back my child hood memories when all of our family members used to meet at my grandma's place and celebrate. Kolams, dolls kolu, bhogi bonfires, Kanuma cattle worship, going to latest movies and what not...I miss it all. Hence this kolam.
