Long back I tried this 9x9 kolam with kolam powder, didnot come out well. Again tried, spreading colorpodi created a base and did the design with ear bud. (Though the weaving pattern did not come perfectly, I am uploadind it since no time to redo.)The original work is here to compare http://www.ikolam.com/node/21016?p=1930
This si a star kolam done by me on the ocassion of some pooja at home. Dot count is 7-4 inbetween and 3-2-1 on all the sides.
one more set of kolams were given to try for learners.you should attach the lines to get big kolams.I leave it only to understand , where we can attach.

this was done on ugadi...though it was done by me the pose is given by my sweet little niece Sarayu.....
Another attempt at giving a paDikOlam look to a chikku kOlam. Enjoy!
