You're very lucky to be living in Chennai. You must be getting a first-hand experience in all of our traditions/rituals. I too am brought up in Delhi but now am stuck in California. All I get here is virtual experience in things like kolams

Really happy to see so many dotted kolams. Born and brought up in Delhi, I could only enjoy myself in seeing different types of kolams, rangolis etc. Only after marriage, as I have come to Chennai, I had the opportunity to do small small kolams.
Now, after seeing this site, I am learning kolams. Thanks to you mam, ofcourse.
Kolam with cycles are mostly the same as celtic knot patterns, however please notice that the celtic patterns are expressed as knots, so they should been drawn with crossings of up/down or over/under lines.

it is very pretty. nevertheless could you mention the number of dots pattern so that beginners like me would find it easy?

The number of dots are given and are clearly visible too for this pattern so you could try to make it with pencil and paper...the old fashioned way
