After seeing Srimati bRMdA's work, I was inspired to do this
collage. Indian flags are flying in the blue skies. In
the sky there is no up or down or left or right. So all
ways of flying it are permissible. Indians, enjoy the
Republic Day! Best wishes! Perhaps one of the kOlam artists
may be awarded a padmaSrI in the future, who knows? Dream big!

My hearty wishes for a Happy Republic Day of our great nation. I tried to depict some of Our National Symbols within the tricolour. I did this with freehand. My hubby helped me in designing this Rangoli.

I got this from a very very old edition of Kumudham.. maybe 10-12 yrs ago edition i guess... I drew it when i was in college 9 yrs ago in 1997.. :-)... I liked it too when i saw it the first time in Kumudham and then i customized it a little bit...

About the dot counts, its quite difficult to write it down.. it kind of varies for every line... it would be easier to just look at the diagram and count it whenever needed, if someone is trying to draw it themselves...
