This is the finished kalam and the centre one is called as Ashta dalam(eight petals of Lotus).The square portion is the main kalam and the outer portions are decorated like a feather or like a peedam.

Hi friends ....Last week we had our annual Bhagavathy sevai at our home on friday...I am sharing with with you all some important pictures...Please have a view.
This Pooja is very famous and done on a daily basis in temples in the month of Aadi or Karkadakam(Malayalam month). It can be done on other days also. By the grace of Bhagavathy I am performing this pooja in aadi maasam for the last six years and I have the privilege to get it done on Fridays(as they are special to Devi). The first photo to start with displays some of the flowers which I had bought for the pooja.
