sOnA extensions

I have introduced the concept of sOnA extension in http://www.ikolam.com/node/15412?p=10760
This is true for rangOlis with dots with n rows and n-1 columns. The numbers n and n-1 are always relatively prime except in the trivial case of 2 and 1. In fact you may remember that I created a series of rangOlis with diminishing values of n and n-1 ( http://www.ikolam.com/node/14262 ). The way the sOnA extensions are carried out is described in the figure. Fig. 1 is for r2c3, Fig. 2 is for r3c4 and Fig.3 is for r5c6 (r2 means two rows, c6 means six columns). Figures 1a, 2a and 3a show the sOnA patterns with a single blue line. Figures in the middle row explain how the extensions are done. Whereas the dots in the original pattern are in light orange, the extra dots used in the extension are given in cyan. The single line patterns obtained with these dot patterns are given in red. Four in each were used to build a sOnA square with these patterns. They are shown at the bottom (Figures 1c, 2c and 3c). As in the original sOnA sqaures, these patterns too have two coloured strings (blue and pink). All these patterns are woven patterns. The woven pattern with r4c3 has already been posted (the link shown at the top). Thus these rangOlis form a new set of chikku kOlams hitherto unexplained. Try out these and enjoy!
