Though the bitter gourd pattern is quite usual the ridge gourd and the african wine kettle gourd are gorgeous. The second pattern is so wavy and neat and the colour of the third pattern is so mild and nice :)

JMK sir though I liked all the three I liked the second one more for the unusual way in which it is arranged giving an illusionary look

pushpAjI, your remark on the illusion reminds me of another vegetable. Ridge gourd is called bIrakAya in telugu (hIrEkAyi in kannaDa, pIrakkAy in tamizh). There is a squash called nEtibIrakAya in telugu. nEyi in telugu means clarified butter or ghee. Now the funny thing is there is neither nEyi (ghee) in nEtibIrakAya nor is it really a bIraKAya (ridge gourd), as it is a squash! Regards! - mOhana
