So JKM has created lovely kolams with ladies fingers (which lady's fingers did you use please?? - hehe). Just kidding.. Yes indeed it is quite interesting to see the cross section of the okhra with different number of seeds (I have seen a few varieties too). The same is with drum stick. The normal variety has three sections. We had a plant at my in-law's place which had four sections. Recently I came across one variety in my neighbourhood which has five sections and was very surprised to see that. Will try and upload a picture if I manage to get hold of one sometime :) The first design is very interesting. The second one looks like a earring pattern,the third one is one of the regular patterns and the last one is very neat. Red okhra looks interesting (have never come across one so far).
JMK sir the first sun arranged is very pleasing to see with the lovely okra flower in the center and the thot never occurred to me about the different number of seeds... is there really a red okra?
Very creative ideas with okras! I remember my childhood days,when we play with the okra heads before throwing them away by sticking it to the walls and making different patterns! Those were the magnetic stickers provided by nature!

Red one I too have not come across. We all started liking vendaikai in the hope of improving our brain power!

Ladies finger is in red color toooooo? Okhra's flower looks like this ah? I think this red colour okhra is available only in america.. Shape looks like L.. Hexagonal design made up of red okhra wins the first prize.. superb onee!!
Okra naamam is an interesting one, among the others. Haven't come across vege-naamams before. :)
And I too am yet to come across the red ones. They have a gorgeous color. :)

Wonderful arrangements, Mohanaji! I ahve seen red shade in green Okra itself but not the fully red one. It is nice to see them in the kolam as well as in the link given by You. Thanks for the homework done by you:)
