Vasthu - Fengshui

Most of us believe in following the concept of Vasthu (Feng shui) in some ways, if not all. It would be nice to hear some of things you do/follow. I like the idea of keeping some live plants indoors, and tend to keep at least one in each room. Pothos (called as money plant by some people), is an easy choice. I also like to grow bulbs during the spring season, since it adds variety and some color to the late winter months.

My aunt used to tell me to keep a small bowl of loose coins in all or any room - don't know how it works though...

Loose coins? I didn't know that. Here I am trying to get rid of my loose coins, always. I guess that's one less thing to worry about. :)

Thanks for reminding me about bamboo Sumathi. Here they sell those in the Chinese grocery stores. But, some people say that those are not the real bamboo shoots. I still have to figure out their actual names. I will let you know if I come to know.

You know how people in India believe in placing a statue of Ganesha at a three-point intersection, or at crossroads? Well, that principle is followed by some indians living in California too. The only difference is; here they have small framed picture of Ganesha on their walls, next to the entrance, instead of a statue. Just thought of sharing this little piece of info with you.

Yes, Ms.Malar, wind chimes are a nice addition to any home decor. I used to have one in my yard a long time ago.
