Quite nice. Do you know the petals in this case are anti-clockwise? It is also possible to have them clockwise. Thus a rangoli like this has a handedness. That is a characteristic of a plane group like this. Regards! - mOhana

All rangolis that have rotational and / or mirror symmetry must belong to one of the ten and only ten plane groups. I have examples for these in the form of rangolis. Regards! - mOhana

wonderful. how come we need to prepare the colour powder,so that it is so mild and gives a gracious look? how did you colour it so evenly? when i was in chennai i used to draw rangolis and colour them but the colour might be too thick or heavy at times. how to make the colour powders smooth? please guide me.
