Wow, very nice... This is done so neatly without a drip anywhere. Truly an experts work I should say. Wonderful work. Even if I could reach 50% of this neatness, I would be happy :)

Jaya indha kolam romba nalla irukku - andha Jaya kitta sollunga... You know something Lata, Jaya Chandrasekar happens to be my bus friend - we used to travel in the same bus to work every morning - somewhere back in 1977 or 78... I was so surprised to see her that day at the meet...

Nice tidbit Judy! I get the warm fuzzies whenever I hear such news Judy! Oh, those days! I miss going in buses, when there were people to talk to during the commute, to walk with on the way to school/college :) I used to be a reserved person, but my mom had both good as well as a bad time commuting back and forth to work; the bad part - it took her 2 hrs one way to her workplace, and the good part; she brought back stories from some aunties/girls! :) She is retiring this month.

oh Lata that is nice to hear - is mum looking forward to her retirement or??? i wish her a happy retirement - it is a blessing at times to sit back at home and relax. yes of course there is the good and bad commuting by bus especially in summer but these days we have airconditioned government buses in chennai too, so travelling is becoming a pleasure here also..

Yes, she is looking forward to it, it would free her up to spend more time with her favorite daughter (my sister) and her only son! I get sad/angry that she turns down my repeated requests to visit me! :(

No wonder darling - you are so far away and believe me old people love to stay in their hometown - they hate it anywhere else. My grandma (who died 3 yrs ago at 90) lived in a big house in Cochin and would hardly spend a week at our place during christmas - the moment new year was over she would want to hop onto a train and go back home... she had daughters in Delhi (never visited), Madurai (once visited) and Australia (twice visited) but preferred Chennai as mum was the closest & the oldest.

What are your plans for Easter? Easter egg hunt is something all the little kids look forward to in our continent. How is it in India, apart from Church visits?

Thank you? I should be the one thanking you. I think if we start thanking each other among ourselves for everything, we all are going to run out of time! :)
