I did this along with my mother-in-law for Pongal 2009. She is 65 yrs, she has under went a knee replacement surgery, but she would still want to join me when i do a kolam. I am sure, for south indian women, kolams are very close to heart!

Straignt dots - 19 - 1

This is a very simple pongal paanai kolam which I drew on Pongal this year - I did not have a good choice of colours (Brindha and Preethi I really envy you guys) and had to make do with whatever was there, so though the kolam came out quite well, the colouring was not at all satisfactory.

hiiiiiiiii. dot count for this kolam is 17-1. I used salt for coloring
