Tanjore Toy

Now a days people forget the Tanjavore Thalayatti Bommai. One day i said about the toy and i drew in a paper. My daughter Srenithy has also seen it in her grandma's house in India. She liked it very much. So she drew it yesterday night and asked to me to upload it before her coming from the school.

Yellow flowers and grasshopper

These yellow flowers are plenty here. all have normally 8 petals only. Rarely some have either 9 or ten petals. Always some grass hoppers will be sitting around the flowers. I could not catch the insect so made it with a leaf for you to see and enjoy.

Wall hanging done by Naveen

On one rainy day, Naveen got bored as he was not allowed to go out. As usual there was no electricity. To change his mood, I made him prepare a wall hanger to keep his tiny things at one place.
He had done it.

My teddy bears

I had my 5th birthday party in a place called "Build a bear workshop". It is a place where they help you build your own bear. They provide you with some of the basic materials like the fur, filler-material and bows. It was fun to build our own bears!

Last year, I decided to dress up my bears with different outfits. Finding a pretty outfit for my girl teddy bear was easy, I just took one of my outgrown formal dresses. But for the boy teddy bear, I had to think and come up with a few ideas. Everyone in my family laughed when I showed them my boy teddy bear wearing a rug around him. He had one of my mom's silk blouse borders for a towel over his shoulder. I thought they looked very nice!
What do you think?
