Kolam is such a beautiful indian art perfected very well by our ancestors. And now, it is our turn to take the responsibility of preserving these ancient art forms. Here are some simple designs which could be used on any day - ordinary or otherwise!
These are the simplest of all kolams. These designs have the least number of dots in them, which makes it easier for even a kindergartner to practice. Coloring is optional. Please refer to the FAQ page for information regarding the kolam dots count. Novices could first draw the design on a piece of paper and then fill it in with the desired colors, before getting their hands dirty on the ground!!
