We accept original work only; original work is a kolam/rangoli that you have created yourself. You could also submit images of kolams/rangolis created by any of your family members (with their approval). Images of Kolams/rangolis could be designs/patterns that you have made on paper using pens/pencils or other media, and they could also be the ones that you create on the ground using rice flour, white-stone powder or even sand.
We accept photographs, scanned images and computer generated work.

Each image of a rangoli/kolam should be considered as one submission. There is no limit to the number of submissions for any member.
At the right side vertical menu (under your user-name), there is a tag called "Create content". Just a little below that, there is a tag called "Rangoli". When you want to upload a kolam/rangoli, click on "rangoli". It'll lead you to a page called "submit rangoli", where you need to fill in the title page, the description about your rangoli in the "body" area (a small or a big description). Finally, click the "File attachments" option, to browse to the file that you want to upload. Make your selection from your local folders, select "Attach", and then click on "Submit".

It would be nice if you can send us a high resolution image of your work. Optimum resolution would be around 1600x1200. At a minimum, please make sure it is around 640x480. Before submitting, please preview your image. Make sure it does not look pixelated or blurry.

Your submissions may be published in 10 days. Most of the times, the processing involves cleaning up the image (which takes a really long time, in the case of scanned images), generating the images for production and finally adding them to the gallery.

Please be open to receiving comments, compliments and critiques on your submissions from other members and visitors. It would be nice if you could take the time to post comments and suggestions on kolams posted by other people too. All of your submitted kolams are converted to flash images to minimize chances of plagiarism.
