Hi,
I used to wonder it would be so nice if we had a website dedicated for Rangoli! To the owners and moderators of this website - You are doing a great job of compiling and maintaining it.!
I am looking to make small designs for the aasan (seat) where i want to seat my beloved Sadguru. Basically i want to make rangoli designs but paint them using acrylic colors on the wooden plank. I would appreciate if you can share some designs for motifs or borders.
I have some interesting articles about Rangoli which appeared in a magazine in Bombay two years ago during Jaggannath Utsav.
Let me know how can i lend a helping hand in this project.
Thanks in advance.

Rangoli Motifs / borders - ideas please
Hi,
Thank you for your kind words. Have you checked our borders catagory to get an idea on border designs? You can find some simple patterns in the following url:
http://www.ikolam.com/borders.php
I suggest you use some of the designs you find in our "kolam-easy and simple" catagory along with the borders for the plank. Line kolams also look good when painted with either wet rice paste or acrylic colors. You may already be aware of most of these motifs...

Please do share some of your rangoli experiences/articles with all of us when you find some time to spare... :D
Thankyou and pranaam to your beloved Sadhguruji.
